The Tower of Capo D’Omo

The Tower of Capo D’Omo

For lovers of trekking and hiking, but also for those who are passionate about climbing, this mix of nature and history is simply not to be missed.

When talking about breathtaking views it is mandatory to think of this point surrounded by nature and overlooking the sea. We are on the coast of Monte Argentario which faces south-west. From here, on fine days, when the sky is clear, you can clearly see the Island of Giglio, and the Island of Montecristo behind it. If the sky allows it, it will be possible to see also Corsica.

The location is stratospheric: the tower is about 350 meters above the sea. Built between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries it is currently in the state of a ruin, unfortunately in ruins.

For lovers of climbing, for those who love to go on excursions immersed in nature and beyond: the one you will find in front of you is a limestone cliff that stands out against the blue of the sea in a landscape that is more unique than rare.
